Our Story
Tigh Chadhain, Coyne’s Gastopub, is an award-winning Gastropub located in the scenic village of Cill Chiaráin, (Kilkieran) in the heart of the Connemara “Gaeltacht” overlooking the beautiful Kilkerrin Bay.
With Chinese Slate flooring, traditional green on the walls with 5,000 years of the Gaelic language emblazoned on its canopy you are steeped in a sense of History when you walk in the door as large windows frame the view down to the pier and the sea.
There’s an outdoor dining area surrounded by clear sheeting to protect from the elements should they appear. There is also an artisan pantry, with a full Coffee & Tea menu, stocked full of local products, homemade treats and an off-licence full of Organic Wines, Local spirits and Craft Beers as well as an extensive selection of Vinyl records for you to enjoy.
Our Mission
If you’re thinking of dining with us, we have ample parking you can choose between the restaurant and the bar – or, in fine weather, you can sit outside in our Dining area or at picnic tables set up to make the most of the beautiful view.
Food is one of the main reasons for visiting Coyne’s, as Annemarie is a chef with years of experience in Galway city under her belt and a desire to bring good food to Connemara and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Our food has a deservedly good reputation. Menus are complemented by Daily Fish specials and as Coyne’s Gastropub is located on the coast, gives a nice sense of place. All our food is cooked to order and we aim to give a proper informal dining experience, accessibly priced and catering for all tastes.
